☆ Black & White ☆

If you want to play it safe just stick with a black-and-white theme! This look always works beautifully, no matter what arrangement you go with. If you are afraid that the amount of black could give an excessive look, try to add one neutral color or some natural wood frames to the composition.

☆ Botanical ☆

Botanical prints and illustrations are perfect for decorating the wall above the kitchen table, a small study corner, a waiting room and, why not, even the bathroom! It may seem a very limited and traditional style, but it can be very versatile and modern. You can decide upon a more classic look, with antique prints and pages of old books contained in gilded frames with an old-time look. To make it more modern use digital prints, minimal illustrations and linear frames. Give an original touch by inserting real leaves and twigs, and some hanging plants.

☆ Eclectic ☆

The Eclectic style requires a little courage and a lot of good taste, but the wow effect is guaranteed. It’s a mix of shapes and techniques, objects, trophies and memories…a real cabinet des curiosités! (The chamber of wonders is a particular environment in which, from the Sixteenth to the Eighteenth Century, collectors used to keep their original and unique objects). Add little objects, floating shelves and mirrors to make the wall dimensional and for a more impactful display. The beauty of this style is that you can start with just a few pieces and keep adding to it without worrying about messing up the composition!

☆  Mid Century ☆

via: West Elm

The Mid Century style is perfect if you are vintage lovers and if you are lucky enough to own some nice pieces of modern art. It may seem a bit severe, but just add some plants, a bright color or a colored wall to minimize the impact.

☆  Scandinavian ☆

If you love essential shapes and delicate colors, the Scandinavian style is the one for you. Follow a not too regular grid and prefer wide borders and thin frames.

☆  Bohemiene ☆

Via libera a oro, specchi, piante pendenti, candele, foto vintage e vecchie locandine.

The Boho style is another very scenographic one, which allows you to add very different elements without giving an idea of disorder. Go ahead with gold, mirrors, hanging plants, candles, vintage photos and old posters.

☆  Pop! ☆

The Pop style is perfect for giving a splash of color to a total white room or with neutral colors. The contrast with modern photos and illustrations, in bright colors, creates an eye-catching display . Don’t worry if the furniture in the room is already very colorful…just pick up the color palette and apply it on the walls. To avoid a chaotic effect, choose neutral colors for the frames.

☆  Kid’s Art ☆

via: Simply Grove

A really nice idea to decorate the children’s room is to frame and hang their drawings on the wall. Use colorful and different frames, there’s really no limit to the imagination!
